Contribution to iBELIEVE Foundation Sends Students to Leadership Camp

The iBELIEVE Foundation is furthering its mission to reach all students in the Appalachian Region by expanding its summer camps from four weeks to six weeks. These six weeks, occurring between early June and late July will host students from all over Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia at three different universities.  The iBELIEVE Foundation will hold two of it's summer camp weeks at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio.  This location provides iBELIEVE with a great centralized location for students from Central, Southeastern, and Northeastern Ohio, as well as another phenomenal camp experience on a first-class university campus.

The iBELIEVE Foundation could not have made this experience possible, however, without the generosity of Muskingum County residents, Brian and Jeanne Jonard. Brian and Jeanne have generously given both their time and resources to the foundation with a major donation to kick-off workshops at Muskingum University. When asked to comment on why they believe in the mission of The iBELIEVE Foundation, Jeanne responded, “We love where we live.  We love where we were raised.  We love where we raised our children.  And we are proud to be a part of Appalachia.  The iBELIEVE Foundation shines a spotlight on and directly assists the youth of our area.  Being iBELIEVE sponsors allows us the joy of encouraging those who will help shape the future of the area that we love .. and beyond.”

Another example of the Jonard’s generosity is their assistance in planning the Muskingum County Benefit Dinner taking place on Sunday, February 28th at the Zanesville Country Club. This event will help raise funds for even more students to have access to the camp experience and reach new opportunities for higher education and leadership. The Jonards told iBELIEVE that, “The fundraising dinner is a fun way for us to share iBELIEVE with new people!  In planning, we've met with individuals who were not aware of the foundation and who have already become very excited about helping the youth of our area. And of course we'd like to raise some money, so get out your checkbooks!”

The Jonard's enthusiasm and passion for serving and bettering their community exemplifies why The iBELIEVE Foundation has expanded and grown each and every year. Exponentially increasing the access to leadership experience, tools for community involvement, and routes to higher education for students across the Appalachian region would not be possible without the private and corporate donations, like the Jonards and so many more. Patrick Klein, founder and Executive Director of The iBELIEVE Foundation, says, “I want to sincerely thank the Jonards for their support and dedication to The iBELIEVE Foundation, as well as everyone else who has helped iBELIEVE expand to where we are now. Their commitment will provide hundreds of students from Muskingum County and the rest of the Appalachian region to network and grow their leadership abilities.  We are excited as an organization to grow our mission and share our vision to be the leading organization in developing Appalachian youth!”
