Prior to the iBELIEVE Foundation, I lacked self-confidence and wasn’t comfortable in my own skin. Throughout my three years as a delegate and a staff member several years after, I gained skills in communicating with others by being comfortable in my own skin. I never enjoying speaking in front of large crowds or standing out in any way, shape or form. As a staff member, I could comfortably speak to large crowds of delegates with confidence as ease. I truly meant what I spoke to these high school students because I was in their shoes once. I have since completed a masters degree, traveled abroad, and held various internships. In each of these settings I was complimented on my communication skills, leadership abilities, and overall work ethic. I believe that the iBELIEVE Foundation is crucial in shaping the lives of others much like myself.
