It’s hard to not sound like a cliché when I talk about my amazing experience at The iBELIEVE Foundation. iBELIEVE changed my life! When I first arrived at iBELIEVE I was a kid who didn’t know who he truly was, and I was too busy being the person everyone else wanted me to be. iBELIEVE forced me out of my comfort zone and help me look at the world in through different lenses. I’ve learned so many wonderful things through iBELIEVE, but the biggest lesson I learned was that I could love myself for who I am.

I’ve had the opportunity to spend 3 summers going through the program as a delegate and 3 years as a staff member, because of these experiences I’ve met so many lifelong friends and mentors.

I started iBELIEVE in the closet, hating who I was, and planning on going to school to be an architect. Nearly 7 years I’m out the closet, I love myself, I believe in myself, I’m more confident than ever and I’m in my 3rd year at Bowling Green State University and I’m studying to become a teacher, and I couldn’t have done any of this if it weren’t for iBELIEVE. The iBELIEVE Foundation took an urban city kid like me and showed me everything and everyone I could be to build a better world.
